Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
The following qualifications and experience are desirable but not required:
- Certificate II in Hospitality or other relevant qualification.
Or
- Vocational experience assisting in a range of support roles without a formal hospitality qualification.

Certificate 3 Guarantee funded by Queensland Government
You may be eligible to receive a Certificate 3 Guarantee funding for this certificate III qualification.
Eligibility criteria include:
- be aged 15 years or over, and no longer at school
- permanently reside in Queensland
- be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen
- when enrolling into a Certificate III, you must not hold, and not be enrolled in, a Certificate III or higher-level qualification (including an Apprentice or Traineeship), not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training or:
What is Certificate 3 Guarantee?
The co-contribution fee represents the total cost of the course, to be paid by the participant, employer or third party prior to commencing training.
A co-contribution fee is divided by the full qualification unit total, for example: a total cost of $247 for 15 units = $16.47 per unit (non-concessional) or a total cost of $160 for 15 units = $10.67 per unit (concessional).

On successful completion of this qualification, you will receive a Certificate in SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality.
On partial completion of this qualification, you will receive a Statement of Attainment in SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality.
