There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
The following qualifications and experience are desirable but not required:

  • Certificate II in Retail Services or other relevant qualification.

Or

  • Vocational experience assisting in a range of support roles without a formal Retail qualification.

What is User Choice?

A contribution fee of $1.60 per nominal hour for each unit is to be paid by the employer or trainee.

Certificate 3 Guarantee

You may be eligible to receive Certificate 3 Guarantee funding for this qualification. To participate, you must meet the eligibility criteria below:

  • Be aged 15 years or over, and no longer at school
  • Permanently reside in Queensland
  • Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen
  • When enrolling into a Certificate III, you must not hold, and not be enrolled in, a Certificate III or higher-level qualification (including an Apprentice or Traineeship), not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training
  • not currently enrolled in another course

What is Certificate 3 Guarantee?

The co-contribution fee represents the total cost of the course, to be paid by the participant, employer or third party prior to commencing training.

A co-contribution fee is divided by the full qualification unit total, for example: a total cost of $247 for 13 units = $19 per unit (non-concessional) or a total cost of $160 for 13 units = $12.31 per unit (concessional).

Concessional co-contribution fee – $160 (evidence of concession will be required).

On successful completion of this qualification, you will receive a Certificate in SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail Operations.
