The New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) supports individuals who are interested in running a small business and available to work on their business full-time. The Scheme provides small business training and ongoing mentoring to assist new business ideas come to life.

DETAILS

Entry requirements

To be eligible for NEIS support you must be available to work on your business idea full-time.

UNITS

Depending on the type of small business, participants may complete either:

BSB30315

Certificate III in Micro Business Operations

This qualification assists participants to gain the skills they need to become skilled independent and micro business contractors.

BSB42615

Certificate IV in New Small Business

This qualification will help those wanting to establish a small business by providing a the tools and knowledge to solve a range of problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

COST

Eligible participants may be entitled to receive support payments from the Australian Government.

OUTCOMES

NEIS training aims to assist participants to establish and operate a successful small business. More than 90% of participants remain in business beyond the training and mentoring period.
