Developing marine industries in the Torres Strait
The Torres Strait Maritime Pathways Project (TSMPP) aims to develop the skills and capability of Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal people to operate commercial vessels.
This program is fully funded by the Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA).

6-12 months (full-time)
6-18 months (part-time)

Entry requirements
Must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and residing in the Torres Strait Islands.

- Coxwain Certificates
- Wild Harvest Dive course
- Marine Engine Driver
- Marine Radio
- Elements of Shipboard Safety
- First Aid
- Master 24m
- Certificate III Fishing Operations
This program is fully funded by the Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA).
TSMPP courses support a range of careers in maritime related industries such as fishing, tourism, coastal trading and shipping.
